Fellowship Host Opportunity

*Note: external funding needed*
Fellows make a semester or year-long commitment to work on behalf of S.T.O.P.’s clients and fight discriminatory surveillance. In addition to short-term assignments, fellows will complete at least one significant research during their tenure. S.T.O.P.’s work includes a unique mix of criminal, civil, and administrative matters, ranging from challenges to discriminatory NYPD policies, to civil follow-on litigation for victims of hate crimes, and representation in national security investigations.
Qualifications:
- Some experience with one or more of the following: federal litigation; FOIA/FOIL litigation; First Amendment; immigration law; cyber law, Section 1983 litigation; class action litigation; and/or national security law.
- Stellar research and writing skills.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office, Outlook, other productivity tools
- Clear passion for civil rights, privacy, or related technical fields.
- Preference given to students who have taken constitutional law, administrative law, and/or federal courts.
- 3L law students and recent graduates only.
- Full Time placements required.
